Homeopathy & ME/CFS - just as useless #ME/CFS
This letter has just been published in me essential, the ME Association's magazine, in response to an article on homeopathy in the previous edition. It was written before the Science & Technology Committee published their report, calling for the withdrawal of NHS funding for homeopathy, which is "useless and unethical". I anticipate that there'll be letters in the next edition, telling me how wrong I am.
I've had ME for 23 years and used to be involved with a county support group for people with ME. It drove me mad that so many members wasted their money on quackery, including homeopathy. One spent over £10,000 on "treatments" from a self-confessed charlatan, but she refused to complain to the police when he was exposed, possibly because she didn't want her family to know what a fool she'd been.
